CARUS-AR 2025 strategy in case of Crypto bull market

When the market is going up, we will lower risk into Bitcoin, Gold and USD 1.5% of the total value of the portfolio from the best performing ALTS, every time the value of the portfolio goes up with 10% (lowering to 5% later in bull market).
As we discussed in our blog post on November 29, CARUS-AR is a semi-passive strategy. Unlike active trading or correction-hedging approaches, CARUS-AR has focused primarily on market fundamentals.
Currently, Bitcoin (BTC) has reached an all-time high of $90,700—a remarkable milestone for Bitcoin enthusiasts. However, CARUS-AR has underperformed Bitcoin in recent years. As a diversified strategy emphasizing blockchain, DeFi, and Web3, a high Bitcoin dominance of over 60% poses challenges for our approach.
Will history repeat itself, or at least rhyme?
In previous crypto bull markets, Bitcoin's (BTC) price rally has typically preceded that of Ethereum (ETH), with altcoins (ALTS) often surging later and significantly outperforming. CARUS-AR is positioned with this historical trend in mind, currently holding a 70% allocation in altcoins, including:
- Ethereum (ETH)
- COSMOS (ATOM)
- NEAR Protocol (NEAR)
- Render Network (RNDR)
- Stacks (STX)
- Polygon (POL)
- Optimism (OP)
- Sei (SEI)
- Oasis Network (ROSE)
- Osmosis (OSMO)

Nearly a year ago, on December 4, 2023, we outlined CARUS-AR's profit-taking strategy for a crypto bull market, marking our first moves out of altcoins and into Bitcoin (BTC), USD (USDC), and Gold (PAXG).
Today, I'm sharing a table that illustrates our target prices and the rebalancing levels where we plan to shift from altcoins to lower-risk assets.

Another ALTSEASON?
